About AutoLawn UK
We do one thing: help UK homeowners pick the right robot lawn mower without wasting £1,000+ on the wrong one.
Robot mowers went mainstream fast, and the buying advice hasn't kept up. Most "best of" lists mix US models that aren't sold here, quote dollar prices, or ignore the questions that actually decide the purchase: How big is your lawn? How steep? How many trees? Boundary wire or not? AutoLawn UK is built around those questions.
How we compare products
The full methodology lives on its own page — How We Compare Products — alongside our editorial & corrections policy. The short version:
- UK-first. Every model we cover is available from UK retailers, priced in pounds, with UK warranty terms noted where verified.
- Sourced, not invented. Specifications come from manufacturer data sheets. Hands-on observations are credited to the publications that tested the machines (TechRadar, T3, Tom's Guide, BBC Gardeners' World and others). We never fabricate testing we haven't done.
- Placeholders over guesses. If a price or spec hasn't been verified recently, it's marked as needing a check rather than presented as fact.
- Use case beats hype. Recommendations are organised by garden size, slope, budget and setup confidence — not by which brand pays the highest commission.
- Dated updates. Every guide shows when it was last genuinely reviewed.
