Quick verdict

The i105E is the mower we recommend most often, for an unexciting reason: it's the cheapest machine that does modern wire-free mowing properly. £699 buys RTK-plus-vision navigation, a 500m² rating that covers the typical UK garden, and the largest verified user base in its class — 2,000+ reviews averaging 4.4★ per 2026 roundups. Most rivals ask you to pay more or accept less.

Segway Navimow i105E

£699

Best for: Small-to-medium UK lawns where you want wire-free setup without premium pricing — the sensible default for most gardens under ~400m².

Avoid if: Your lawn has heavy tree cover (RTK needs sky view), complex multi-zone layouts, or a genuinely steep bank.

  • Huge verified user base (2,000+ reviews averaging 4.4★ per 2026 roundups)
  • App remapping instead of wire re-digging

Cons

  • RTK positioning degrades under dense canopy
  • No LiDAR at this price

Setup

Standard modern RTK routine: site the dock and antenna with decent sky view, walk the boundary with the app to draw the virtual map, mark no-go zones, set a schedule. Budget under an hour. The antenna placement is the only step that needs thought — it wants open sky, so a garden hemmed in by tall trees or buildings is the wrong home for this machine.

Cutting and navigation

RTK positioning means systematic lanes rather than the random bouncing of older wired mowers — the lawn gets covered efficiently and evenly. Like every mower in the category it cuts little and often, mulching clippings back into the lawn; expect to strim edges occasionally, as no mower in this price class edges perfectly.

FAQs

Is the Navimow i105E good for UK weather?

It's built to live outdoors like every mower in this class. As with all robot mowers, it cuts best on dry grass — schedule generously and let it skip wet windows.

Does the i105E need a boundary wire?

No — it navigates by RTK GPS plus a vision sensor. You map the lawn by walking the boundary with the app; changing the layout later is an app edit, not a re-dig.

What size lawn suits the i105E?

It's rated up to 500m², which makes it ideal for lawns up to about 400m². At a full 500m² it runs with no headroom — step up to the 800m²-rated i208 AWD (£899) instead.

i105E or i108E?

At current official prices (£699 vs £1,299) the i105E wins unless you specifically need 800m² coverage — and if you do, the £899 i208 AWD makes more sense than the i108E anyway.

Product data checked

This guide is based on manufacturer specifications, UK retailer listings and published expert reviews — we have not personally tested every model listed, and we clearly separate manufacturer claims from third-party review findings. Sources checked on 2026-07-05:

  • Segway Navimow official UK store (uk.navimow.com) — price and coverage
  • 2026 UK roundups (therobotmower.co.uk, garageworld360) — user review volume and market position

How we compare products

  • UK-first: only models actually sold in the UK, priced in pounds.
  • No invented claims: specs come from manufacturer data sheets; hands-on findings are credited to the reviewers who tested them.
  • Placeholders marked: if we haven't verified a price or spec yet, we say so rather than guess.
  • Use case beats hype: we recommend by garden size, slope and budget — not by commission rate.
